"Over-soap Consumption." It’s a nasty habit that we Goddesses of Clean get caught up in.

But, take it from Lindy Sue, using too much soap makes your machine work harder and ultimately wears your clothes out faster. One way to see if you’re over-doing the suds is by checking the lint trap in your dryer. If you’re collecting a lot of lint with each load, chances are good that you’re using too much soap. Cutting back to half the recommended amount of detergent will drastically reduce the excess lint in your dryer and, believe it or not, provide cleaner clothes that last longer!
